It was a beautiful day outside yesterday. The weather was warm but not hot, and I found this dragonfly resting in the garden. He remained still for over 30 minutes. Thankfully, I had my camera ready to capture some lovely closeups.
Family: Odonata (Libellula croceipennis)
gorgeous and amazing photos! thanks for sharing.
wow very pretty
so much detail and great colors!
Hello fellow Texan [I have a son living in H-town!!]…and I’m in Corpus. Love your dragon flies. I’ve tried so often to capture one on camera, but to no avail.
Wonderful details in these photos!
Great captures!
Amazing shots! Love the details you got.
those are just the most incredible shots… I don’t know how you do that! fabulous
I have a really nice camera and I think that makes a difference. I was lucky that this dragonfly remained perfectly still while I snapped away. I took over 50 shots and decided that 10 were worth keeping.
Brilliant. Never seen one this close. Nice work.
Cool and kinda creepy at the same time! 🙂
Yeah… especially the head and mouth parts. There are so many.
This is just amazing – such a great job. I can’t pick a favorite.
What awesome shots of the dragonfly, the color is incredible and look at all the details 🙂
