Macro Monday: Monarch Butterfly Life Cycle Photography

A collection of some of my favorite macro shots of my monarch butterfly. From early January 2011 until Saturday February 12, 2011 when he was released.

  1. Fabulous macros Jackie! What a great story too! I wish I could see a photo of you releasing the butterfly!

Me too Carol. He flew away so fast, I couldn’t focus the camera quick enough…. but I got some great shots of him indoors. Thanks again for your help.

  2. Wonderful macros of the gestation and birth of a beautiful Monarch Butterfly. Absolutely a wonderful sequential series which I have never seen before. I want to come to your sight to see more of this. Thanks for taking the time to do this. BTW, I am Diane’s husband whom you have met. She is standing right behind me to now view the macros.
